Many states have filed legislation for cocktails to-go and/or alcohol delivery. Both are proving to be valuable changes to support small businesses and the hospitality industry. We are pleased to actively support these efforts as well as provide training specific to these methods of alcohol sale to ensure proper practices are followed and to prevent drunk driving and underage alcohol sales.
eTIPS OFF PREMISE AND DELIVERY
Recently, eTIPS Off Premise and Delivery-Georgia was approved by Georgia’s Alcohol & Tobacco Division to provide alcoholic beverage delivery training for eligible drivers where alcohol delivery is permitted in Georgia. This includes grocery, convenience, and retail package stores as well as bars and restaurants that offer alcohol delivery. Several businesses such as Drizly and Go Puff rely on our general course which is available to all jurisdictions. To learn more, click here.
EDUCATING THE COMMUNITY
In addition to providing the first course dedicated to Off Premise and Delivery of alcohol, TIPS has developed an Alcohol Delivery and Carry Out Guide along with partnering with Anheuser-Busch and Drizly to create a guide to encourage retailers to expand their training to incorporate educational tools and solutions for delivery personnel.
As e-commerce and delivery services for alcohol continue to expand, this will aid in identifying and promoting best practices for retailers, marketplaces and delivery team members to ensure the responsible delivery of alcohol.
